Spring 2010 Schedule

January


Friday, 1/29: Movie Night, 7:00, School of Communication Lobby, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen – bring a snack to share; drinks will be provided

February


Friday, 2/5: Induction – Grand Lobby, 6:30, Sunday dress—no jeans, flip flops (required for new members, counts as a meeting/event requirement for all members); heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served


Saturday, 2/13: Leaf raking at Dr. Prior’s


Tuesday, 2/15: Big River talk with Professors Chris Nelson and Kyle Hammersmith, 5:00, Lloyd Theater, refreshments will be provided

Thursday, 3/11: Evening of Performance in Literature, DH 1114, 7:00

Thursday, 3/25: Game night, 6:30, Jefferson Villas Clubhouse (1708 Thomas Jefferson Blvd.); bring your favorite games to share; refreshments will be provided

Thursday, 4/8: Austin Carty reading and talk, DH 3397 (School of Communication Auditorium); refreshments will be served – Austin attended LU and graduated from High Point University in 2009; his first book comes out 1/26/10 – High Points and Lows: Life, Faith, and Figuring It All Out; more information can be found at http://www.austincarty.com/


Thursday, 4/15: Meeting to discuss Scandal of the Evangelical Mind, 7:00 p.m., DH 3397 (SOC Auditorium) – Professor Stephen Bell will be mediating the discussion; refreshments will be provided


Thursday, 4/22: Scarlet Pimpernel talk with Professor Linda Nell Cooper and Dr. Brenda Ayres, 5:00, at the new theater; refreshments will be provided
